1. General Information

Welcome to Woodland Canines. By accessing or using our website, services, or purchasing a puppy from us, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a purchase or using our services. These terms apply to all visitors, customers, and users of the website. If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue use of our site and services.

2. Responsible Breeding & Animal Care

Woodland Canines is a licensed and inspected breeder located in Syracuse, Indiana. We are proud to be Canine Care Certified™, and we follow all guidelines set by the USDA, Indiana Board of Animal Health (BOAH), and the Indiana Council for Animal Welfare (ICAW). All of our breeding dogs receive regular veterinary care, health testing, and OFA certifications. Puppies are raised with hands-on care, early socialization, and developmental enrichment to ensure they are healthy, confident, and well-adjusted before adoption.

3. Puppy Health Guarantee

Each Woodland Canines puppy comes with:

​

• A veterinary health exam prior to adoption.

• Up-to-date vaccinations and deworming.

• A two-year genetic health guarantee against life-threatening congenital conditions.

• A microchip registered through Global Pet Security.

​

Buyers are responsible for having their puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of pickup or delivery to validate the health guarantee. If any life-threatening congenital health condition is discovered during that period, Woodland Canines must be notified immediately, along with a written report from a licensed veterinarian.

The guarantee does not cover non-life-threatening conditions, minor illnesses such as parasites, or issues arising from neglect, injury, or poor nutrition after transfer of ownership.

4. Payments & Deposits

A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a puppy. This deposit will be applied toward the total purchase price of the puppy. Full payment is required prior to pickup or delivery. We accept cash, approved digital payments, and Klarna (interest-free installment options available at checkout). By using Klarna, you agree to Klarna’s own terms and privacy policy.

5. Pricing & Sales Tax

Prices are subject to change at any time without notice. If your puppy is picked up in Indiana, or the sale is conducted within the state, Indiana sales tax (7%) will be applied as required by law.

6. Pickup, Delivery, and Transportation

We offer safe, USDA-compliant delivery options, including ground transport and flight nanny service. Delivery arrangements must be confirmed and paid in full before your puppy leaves our care. Woodland Canines is not responsible for any delays or travel interruptions once the puppy is in transit with a third-party transporter or flight nanny. All puppies must be at least 8 weeks old and weigh at least 2 pounds before leaving our facility.

7. Ownership Transfer

Ownership of the puppy transfers to the buyer once payment is complete and the puppy is picked up or delivered. At that time, Woodland Canines is released from all liability and responsibility for the puppy’s care, safety, and well-being.

8. Breeding Rights & Registration

Puppies are sold as pet companions with limited AKC registration, unless full registration is explicitly discussed and approved in writing before the sale.
Limited registration means the puppy cannot be used for breeding or entered in conformation shows but may participate in other AKC events.

9. Buyer Responsibilities

The buyer agrees to provide lifelong, loving care to the puppy, including:

• Proper veterinary care and vaccinations.

• Nutritious food and fresh water.

• Adequate shelter, exercise, and companionship.

• Spaying or neutering the puppy if sold with limited registration.

Woodland Canines reserves the right to refuse the sale of a puppy to any individual if we believe the home is not a suitable or safe environment.

10. Returns & Rehoming

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. If a buyer is ever unable to care for their dog, Woodland Canines will assist in rehoming or may accept the dog back at our discretion. Refunds are not guaranteed and will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

11. Privacy Policy

Any personal information you provide, including contact details and payment information, will be used solely for the purpose of completing your purchase and communicating with you about your puppy. Woodland Canines does not sell or share your personal data with third parties except where required by law or for delivery arrangements.

12. Limitation of Liability

Woodland Canines is not responsible for any expenses, damages, or losses incurred after the puppy has been transferred to the buyer, including but not limited to veterinary costs, property damage, illness, injury, or emotional distress.

13. Updates to Terms

Woodland Canines reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting to this page. Buyers are encouraged to review these terms periodically for any updates.
